Yim Yames - All Things Must Pass (A Tribute To)

It’s no George, but it’ll do.

Listened to on my buzzzzzed walk home tonight. Mouring the loss of a band is a very real thing.
The Antlers - Sylvia (Hospice)

When I first started as a lil aspiring publicist intern I strongly adhered to the idea that it would be evil and ethically wrong to work a record without taking the time to get to know the music . Oh, little Amanda. With a client roster of 50 bands and growing every month, I’ve realized the enormity of my naivety. I’ve been working this Antlers record for a long while now, and just this past week I finally really listened. Where the hell I have I been the past 6 months? I’m putting smiley faces in all my Antlers emails from now on.
Recently watched this Townes Van Zandt documentary and I still can’t shake it. You’d never know all that was going on behind that simple Texas voice.
Benny Goodman - Sing Sing Sing
I can’t even imagine what this must have sounded like live.

- Tolu: Radiohead?
- Me: You know me.
- Tolu: it could be 75 and sunny and I would have probably still guessed Radiohead.
